Akoma's Hound Heater will keep your dog or other pet warm, cozy and safe through the cold months. The HHF-PC on this page is the delux version, with a chew-proof steel spiral protected cord. This is the industry's leading dog house heater - here's why:

Efficient - The HHF-PC Hound Heater will comfortably heat a 32 cubic feet well-insulated dog house, but works just as well in any smaller size space because it regulates the heat of the dog house. Powered by a long-lasting, replaceable 150 watt wire element rated at 50,000 hours, the HHF-PC includes a heavy-duty thermostat (rated at 100,000 cycles) and will turn off once the space has reached the set temperature (which can be anywhere between 30 and 100 degrees F). This is more energy-efficient and safer than other heaters that remain on all the time - and it's safter, too. Drawing only 1.25 amps, it can safely be powered through any outdoor-rated extension cord (all such cords must legally be rated at 10 amps).

Safe- Built with numerous safety features, the HHF-PC will keep your dog warm and dry, but give you peace of mind, too. An internal heat shield cools the outside of the unit so your dog can rest against the lower half without being burned, as long as safe installation procedures are followed. The HHF-PC is designed without any exposed sharp corners, keeping your dog safe from cuts or scrapes. It is designed to be mounted so your pet does not have access to chew the power cord, but if it needs to be mounted differently, the HHF-PC model indludes a unique feature - the entire 8-foot length of the power cord is wrapped in a protective stainless steel chew-proof spring. In case of improper mounting or damage it includes an internal high limit switch, which will shut down the unit if it reaches 210 F.

Easy to Install- It only takes a few minutes to install the HHF-PC Hound Heater in your dog house or other pet home. The HHF-PC comes complete with simple and clear instructions and a template for locating the unit on the wall. Simply drill a hole for the power cord, mount the heater on the wall with four screws and the external heat shield with two screws. Set the thermostat, plug it in and you're finished!
